Payment Terms
Billing, subscriptions, and refunds
Subscription & Billing
Asteria Engine offers subscription plans with pricing, features, and usage limits specified at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You agree to pay all fees according to the pricing plan you select. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added to your invoice. You are responsible for all taxes related to your subscription.
Payment Methods & Security
We accept major credit cards and other payment methods specified at checkout. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete payment information. Your payment details are processed securely through PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit card details. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred under your account.
Failed Payments & Suspension
If a payment fails, we will attempt to recharge your account after notifying you. If payment fails after a reasonable number of attempts, we may suspend or terminate your account access until payment is received. Late payments may incur additional fees as permitted by UK law. Interest on overdue amounts will be charged at 8% per annum plus the Bank of England base rate.
Usage Overages & Credits
Some subscription plans include usage limits or credits for AI generations, content creation, or other features. Usage exceeding your plan's limits may result in additional charges or suspension of service. Credit balances are non-transferable, non-refundable, and expire according to your plan terms. Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods unless expressly stated otherwise.
Refund Policy
All subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, except as required by law or our refund policy. Refunds for billing errors or duplicate charges must be requested within 30 days. Subscription cancellation terminates access to the Service but does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees. Early termination of long-term plans may include early termination fees as specified in your plan agreement.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price increases will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the 30-day notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not agree to new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the price increase takes effect.

- •Account registration information (name, email, company)
- •Content provided for creation, scheduling, or analysis
- •Social media account credentials and analytics data
- •Payment and billing information
- •Usage patterns and interaction data

Service Availability & SLA
Uptime guarantees and service level commitments
Service Level Agreement
We commit to maintaining 99.9% uptime for the Asteria Engine Service, measured on a monthly basis, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure events. This means we target no more than approximately 44 minutes of unplanned downtime per month. This SLA applies only to paid subscribers with active subscriptions.
Exclusions from SLA
The SLA does not cover downtime caused by:
- •Scheduled maintenance and system updates (with 48-hour notice)
- •Force majeure events (natural disasters, war, pandemics, etc.)
- •Third-party service failures (internet providers, cloud providers)
- •DDoS attacks and security incidents
- •Issues caused by user configuration or third-party integrations
SLA Credits
If we fail to meet our SLA commitments, we will provide service credits to your account as your sole remedy. Eligibility for credits requires that you submit a claim within 30 days of the incident. Service credits are calculated as a percentage of monthly subscription fees based on downtime duration and do not constitute a refund but rather credit toward future subscriptions.
Scheduled Maintenance
We may perform planned maintenance to improve Service quality, security, and performance. Scheduled maintenance is typically performed on weekends or during low-traffic periods with at least 48 hours' notice. We will communicate maintenance windows via email and on our status page. Critical emergency maintenance may be performed with minimal notice to address security issues or critical outages.
Status Page & Notifications
We maintain a public status page at status.asteriaengine.com where you can monitor Service health. We notify subscribers of major incidents and scheduled maintenance via email and through our dashboard.
Termination
How subscriptions end and account closure
Termination by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund is provided for unused subscription time in the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of your billing period, after which your account will be downgraded to a free tier (if available) or access will be terminated.
